Threshold Science ("we," "our," or "us") operates app.thresholdscience.com, a training platform for collegiate and high school distance running coaches and athletes. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
What we collect
When you connect a wearable device (Garmin, Coros, or Oura Ring) to Threshold Science, we collect health and fitness data from that device, including: heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), resting heart rate, sleep duration and quality, readiness and recovery scores, workout activity data (distance, pace, duration), and GPS-derived metrics. We also collect your name, email address, and basic profile information provided during account creation or wearable authorization.
How we use your data
We use your data exclusively to provide the Threshold Science service: displaying training load, recovery trends, and athlete readiness to authorized coaches; generating training plan recommendations; and supporting lactate threshold analysis. We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with third parties except the cloud services required to operate the platform (database hosting, email delivery). Coaches on your team can view your training and recovery data as part of the service.
Data retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing us at info@thresholdscience.com.
Wearable data
Data retrieved from Garmin, Coros, and Oura is stored on our servers and is not shared with other wearable providers. Oura data is accessed under the permissions you grant during OAuth authorization and is used only as described above.
Beta service notice
Threshold Science is currently in beta. The service is provided as-is. We take reasonable precautions to protect your data but cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
